The Preschool is located in a dedicated classroom at the rear of The Sir John Colfox School, overlooking the sports facilities. We moved to these premises in September 2007 from the Forsters Memorial Hall in Bradpole.

We provide early years care and education for children aged two to five, with up to 26 children attending each session. The Preschool is registered with Ofsted, fully insured, and part of the Nursery Education Grant Scheme.

We are a non-profit organisation with charitable status and our own constitution. The Preschool is managed by a volunteer committee, made up primarily of parents and carers of children who attend.

All parents, carers, and grandparents are warmly welcomed to be involved in the preschool, using their own personal skills for the benefit of the setting. There are many ways to take part, such as helping with cooking activities, reading in the book corner, joining us on walks and outings, or supporting art and craft sessions.

We understand that everyone leads busy lives, and some parents or carers may not be able to come into the setting during the day. However, your support in other ways is just as valuable. We firmly believe that children learn best when their parents and carers are actively involved in their preschool experience.
